Residential Permit Services
A resident permit in Cameroon shall be an identification document issued to aliens aged 18 and above and duly authorized to stay in Cameroon.
It shall be valid for 2 years renewable and shall have the following details of the aliens
• Full names
• Date and place of birth
• Filiation
• Occupation
• Address
• Sex
• Residence permit number
• Nationality
• Date of issue and date of expiry etc.

WHAT ARE THE CONDITIONS AND REQUIREMENTS FOR ISSUING AND RENEWING OF RESIDENCE PERMIT IN CAMEROON?
The issuance of a resident permit in Cameroon shall be subject to the following conditions.
- A certified true copy of a valid passport, not more than 3 months old bearing a long-stay visa.
- A certificate of residence, issued by the administrative authority or police in charge with territorial jurisdiction bearing the prior and compulsory signature of the quarter head or village head.
- A unique certificate of non-conviction
- Tax certificate or receipt to testify payments of the discharged tax or certified copy of business license valid for the current budgetary year.
- Evidence of payments of stamp duty required for residence permits.
- Justification of stay in Cameroon e.g. employment contract, school admission letter.
In conclusion, residence permit renewal shall be subject to the presentation of the former residence permit at least 1 (one) month before expiry and any justification (purpose) of stay in Cameroon. The submission of documents for obtaining or renewing a residence permit shall lead to the issuance of a receipt duly signed by the head of the EMI immigration, valid until processing the file is completed.
