WHAT ARE THE LAW AND REGULATIONS OF THIS INDUSTRY
- Constitution;
- Law No. 90/035 of 10 August 1990 on the practice and organization of the profession of pharmacists in Cameroon;
- Law No. 96/03 of 4 January 1996 establishes a framework law in the field of health;
- Decree No. 96/055 of 12 March 1996 establishing LANACOME;
- Decree No. 98/405/PM of 22 October 1998 laying down the conditions and procedures for placing pharmaceutical products on the market;
- Decree No. 2002/209 of 19 August 2002 on the organization of the Ministry of Public Health;
- Decree No. 2007/268 of 7 September 2007 supplemented by Decree No. 2009/223 of 30 June 2009 on the reorganization of the Government;
- Decision No. 314/CAB/MINSANTE of 16 November 1999 appointing the members of the National Medicines Commission;
- Circular of the Minister of Finance containing instructions relating to the execution and control of the budget for the current financial year.
CONDITIONS TO BE MET BEFORE BEING AUTHORIZED TO OPEN A PHARMACY IN CAMEROON:
- be a commercial establishment;
- be a pharmacist registered with the Order of Pharmacists;
- be in good standing with the Cameroonian tax authorities.
COMPOSITION OF THE FILE TO OPEN A PHARMACY IN CAMEROON:
Documents to be provided:
- The stamped request addressed to the Minister of Public Health;
- valid licence;
- valid taxpayer card;
- certificate of location;
- location map;
- bank account statement.
